After watching “Blue is the warmest color” on Netflix which for a three hour movie was captivating, real, and raw, I wanted pasta with meat sauce.This movie is one of the best on the flix I would say alongside “Jiro Dream of Sushi”, “Butter”, “Toast”, and “Safety Not Guarenteed”…yes I’m aware most of them are food related…anywayyyy this movie, I won’t say a word besides it’s graphic, it’s real life, and it’s emotion I haven’t seen in a movie in decades. Ps- there was even a boob challah…I see a potential Breast Cancer charity in the works.Īnd as I promised SAUCE. As soon as I get home next week I PROMISE I will make a challah loaf myself! The warm challah smells amazing and right out of the oven tastes heavenly. It’s called Challah for Hunger and it’s a great cause. Going back to my week this past Thursday the Hillel at my school makes Challah loaves to sell to students and the money is donated to hunger related charities in Albany. I really do love art and have an appreciation for all types of it. Some of my favorite works of art that I have tried to replicate with different mediums like oil on sketch paper “starry night” or watercolor on my old bedroom door “the kiss”. During our great GMO debate while ferociously arguing my points I drew this monster of sorts. While sitting in class I draw more than I take notes.Especially in music classĪnd in world food crisis. A good amount of the time my art comes from copying Klimt, Van Gogh, or at my angst-iest times Pollock (that was a clean up job i’ll never forget). Doesn’t mean I don’t doodle in class everyday or attempt to make beautiful art every once in a while.
I started out college an art major, realized how tedious it was and that I wasn’t nearlyyyyy up to the level of the other fine art kids, and I quit and became a communication major. Celebrateee good times c’mon! So as implied by the title of the post my week has consisted of sketches I’ve drawn, the unreal pasta bolognese sauce I made, and making challah bread at school. How is everyone’s week going? My week is going by so fast because I know I’ll be home in T-minus 6 days.
